Convenient for shuttle bus to the airport.

The bathroom door was broken and wrapped in trash. The ceiling had black mold, and the kitchen cabinets were not clean. For the price, the overall maintenance was disappointing.

Why it’s almost great (but not quite)

The location was fantastic! with easy access to downtown and the added convenience of coffee and tea options.

Though my room gave a great view, the shared bathroom could definitely use a better cleaning routine.

Power sockets in the basement room were inadequate!!! The emergency exit sign is misplaced and could pose a danger in a fire situation!!! The towels were fraying and the hot water had a strong unpleasant smell!!!

The place was clean and had a cool backpacker kitchen with an espresso machine. I walked to the downtown easily.

I spent 7 nights here and loved having a clean room with a sink, which was handy! The free tea and coffee in the kitchen was a nice surprise too. however, I wish the shared bathroom facilities were a bit more private.

We had a family room with two double beds and a kitchenette. The outside of the property looks a bit run down but inside our room was clean and comfortable. The black out curtains did an excellent job of blocking out the light outside. There is adequate parking on the street outside. The location of the property was just a short walk away from the main church and shopping area. Our kitchenette was very well equipped and the induction hob was excellent.

A kettle would have been nice so I could easily make a cup of tea.

The accommodation was notably convenient for accessing the KEF airport shuttle, making it easy to catch an early bus. Located just a 20-minute walk from downtown Reykjavik, it also offers nearby dining options. The property was exceptionally clean and featured a straightforward check-in process, which was appreciated after a long day of travel.

Limited amenities were a downside.

The twin room had a surprisingly large size and comfortable beds, making it ideal for rest after exploring the city. The shared kitchen was well-equipped, allowing for convenient meal prep, including enjoying delicious smoked salmon. However, the shared bathroom could benefit from more frequent cleaning, and the check-in process, although straightforward, lacked a traditional reception, which might be inconvenient for some. The location is great for accessing bus tours, but it's some distance from the downtown area.

Perfect for a short budget stay

I had a solid one-night stay here. The room was clean and spacious enough for a couple of beds and had a nice shared kitchen downstairs where I enjoyed unlimited fresh ground coffee. It's just a quick 2-minute walk to the BSI bus terminal, making it super convenient for my early morning excursion pick-up.
